Dolphin show at Adaland

Adaland (Kuþadasý’s paramount water park) donated a free trip to the Dolphin Show for the Handicapped School of Kusadasi. Volunteers from Japan, Holland, Turkey and the Anglo Turkish club all assisted with the trip.
On a warm day in summer we took the school bus, plus several cars, to Adaland. Those who needed help getting up the hill were assisted and everyone sat in prime positions for the show.
Young people who normally have difficulty in being quiet and sitting still were enthralled by the show, they all  enjoyed themselves and two lucky people had the opportunity to touch and stroke the dolphins. The school pupils talked of nothing but Dolphins for several weeks after the event.

The Dolphin arena is at the top of the hill/mountain at Adaland and has stunning views over the coast and surrounding area, the Dolphin pool is very nice and the back drop is a replica of the library at Ephesus.  For those worried about the sun Dont ! The seating and pool areas are covered so the hour spent there will not result in sun burn.

The show lasts about 1 hour and involves Dolphins and Sealions the Dolphin show is first then and some educational information is given, then the Sealions have a show and the Dolphins stay to watch the show and applaud with the audience (Good fun).

After the shows anyone who wants a picture with Dolphins etc can go to the side of the pool and the Dolphins come out of the water to be touched and have photographs taken, if you want to swim with Dolphins this is also the time that takes place.

Pictures and the Dolphin swim do cost more, but the price is not too much for a lifetime experience and the trainers are very careful to make sure the Dolphins are well looked after.

So anyone wanting to go it will be a couple of hours not to forget, remember to take your video or camera with you.

I have added some pictures here of our day there with the Handicapped school, this trip was donated by Adaland. So Thank you Adaland for giving the under privileged a wonderful time.
